Verobish Invites Residents to Collect Their Unclaimed Property

BLAIR – More than one in 10 Pennsylvanians are owed unclaimed property, and Rep. Andrea Verobish (R-Blair) hopes to connect those in the 79th District with what is rightfully theirs at her unclaimed property event on Thursday, Sept. 17.  

The event, hosted in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Treasury, will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Verobish’s district office, 2301 Beale Ave., Suite A in Altoona. 

“Everything in the Pennsylvania Treasury’s vault belongs to someone, and that person deserves to have it,” Verobish said. “This is a great opportunity for all residents to check to see if they have unclaimed property. If so, they can finally bring it home.” 

Unclaimed property can be anything from old bank accounts, uncashed paychecks, insurance payments and more. 

The Pennsylvania Department of Treasury receives hundreds of millions of dollars in unclaimed property every year. The average claim is more than $1,000.
